This active itinerary is an ideal introduction to Costa Rica for those short on time. It has been specifically designed to avoid too many long journeys across the country, whilst still giving a flavour of some of the highlights Costa Rica is best-known for. After a night in the capital to recover from your flight, you will head straight for the country’s activity heartland in Arenal. Visit the volcano national park, soak your limbs in thermal springs and traverse hanging bridges set high in the rainforest. Continue on to Costa Rica’s most famous cloud forest, Monteverde, where you will be able to try your hand at canopy zip lining and look for forest creatures after dark on a night tour. Final stop is Manuel Antonio on the central Pacific coast where you can visit the jungle-fringed beaches of the national park and enjoy a bit of relaxation before you head home.
